The Sacred Work of Grief with Taylor Lampson, Nancee Sobonya & Jose Enciso
August 11, 2018 Saturday 10 - 6 PM, Berkeley
“Where there is sorrow, there is holy ground.- Oscar Wilde
This daylong explores the powerful and mysterious nature of grief. As we turn our attention to the grief we carry — for self, community, and world — we share our deep emotional selves, which brings us into the circle of restoration and into the arms of the sacred. Utilizing the potent tools of inquiry, writing practice, singing, and ritual, we deepen our trust in our emotional and body wisdom; and build a community of concerned hearts that bring forth our stories of love and loss into the visible world.
This gathering will also include;
awareness of cultural obstacles to grief such as ‘private pain,
avenues to express our grief over world events
a community grief ritual appropriate for modern times: one that is carefully structured and restorative, creating a sacred place where our grief will be honored and release.
Please bring photos and other objects symbolic of their losses for the grief ritual.
Where: 2075 Eunice St. Berkeley, CA
When: August 11, 2018 Saturday 10 - 6 PM

Men and The Emerging Divine Feminine
Seeking Balance for Our Evolution
Saturday, April 14th, 2018
Doors Open 1:00, Program 1:30 to 4:00
$20 at the door
The Hall at St. John’s, 530 “C” Street at Sixth, Petaluma
“Men and The Emerging Divine Feminine” offers a pooling of collective wisdom from elders, from people who are working on healing the split between the masculine and the feminine, from people who want to voice their feelings to help men (and the inner masculine) be more alive, more empowered and to help women experience the desire to be met.
Both MEN and WOMEN are invited to engage in a dialog in support of men who are showing up in healthy ways to integrate the Feminine Principle with its qualities of compassion and connection, and the Masculine Principle with its qualities of strength, logic, security, and safety.
This circle will be facilitated by Jose Enciso and Dan Craig-Morse who will provide some initial context for the group sharing.

Community Grief Ritual
I co-led a grief ritual with Maria Owl and Melissa Sophia Joy. There were about 30 participants. It was a wonderful event expressing grief in a community. I have much gratitude and feel honored to have been part of this event.

Listen To Your Soul Through Your Own Poetry
Saturday, September 9th, 2017
Doors Open 1:00, Program 1:30 to 5:00pm
The Hall at St. John's, 530 "C" Street at Sixth, Petaluma
$25 at the door
Poetry is one of the many languages of the soul. Opening to our own poetry can provide a gateway to our soul's call. Yet so many people do not consider themselves poets. We all are poets, we all have that creative, imaginative spark. We all have our souls aching for us to listen. The first steps in accessing our own poetry start with understanding the value of poetry as a path to our soul, considering we all have a muse, a creative spark and then letting go of all the reasons which say we are not a poet.
Writing our own poetry involves becoming a faithful scribe; writing down what we hear inside without judgement or censoring. Trust the small voice inside, welcome the possibility of your creativity, be amused, entertained and perhaps shocked by what arises when you take pen to paper.
This afternoon will explore:
• How poetry can provide an avenue to our soul
• What stands in the way between us and writing our own poetry
• Listening to other poetry to get examples of the range of poetry
• Practicing writing our own poems and opportunities to share
• Where do we go from here, how to continue the practice.
Bring poems you would like to share, and a journal.

Thank you to all who came to the "Come to Know the Poets" evening. It was a wonderful experience and I felt so grateful sharing some of my work. Stay tuned, hopefully there will be more opportunities to hear me reading some poems in the company of community.
